Power of the tongue

How many times we utter harsh words towards one another or witness others use their tongues for destruction purposes? We destroy lives by communicating falsehood, untruth, obscenities, insanities, etc… We spread chaos around us by criticizing everything we see; we are jealous of other people and we use our tongues to bring them down. WOW….

God knows our selfish nature and warns us against the lethality of our tongue. We must know that our tongue holds to power to save and destroy. As Christians, we must use it to heal and save others.  Therefore, let us not destroy lives anymore, let us embark on building character and by proxy strengthen the body of Christ. The bible states that the power of life and death is in the tongue. Go figure.

If you had been on a mission to criticize people, destroy lives, defame characters, belittle and mock people, trounce the body of Christ, please be aware that you have the power through Christ to control your tongue and ultimately use it as a tool to heal, love and embrace. As I love to say, cut it or shut up. I was just saying.
